Ashley Holzer & Pop Art Finish 4th in GP Freestyle at CDI5* Exquis World Dressage Masters in Florida

February 7, 2010 — Three-time Canadian Olympian Ashley Holzer of Toronto, ON, and her 2008 Olympic partner Pop Art, finished in fourth place in the Grand Prix Freestyle test at the $145,000 CDI 5* Exquis World Dressage Masters Saturday. The evening Freestyle wrapped up the competition held this weekend, February 4–6, 2010, at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center, in Wellington, FL, USA.

February 4, 2010 — Three-time Canadian Olympian Ashley Holzer of Toronto, ON, and her 2008 Olympic partner Pop Art finished in fourth place in the Grand Prix test at the $145,000 CDI 5* Exquis World Dressage Masters Thursday.  The competition is being held this weekend, February 4–6, 2010, at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center, in Wellington, FL, USA.

Presentation and discussion session regarding national equine identification and traceability system to be featured

February 3, 2010 — The 2010 Equine Canada Annual Convention is to be held February 1-8, 2010 at Le Centre Sheraton Montreal Hotel in Montreal, Quebec. The Breeds & Industry Delegate Assembly, scheduled for Saturday, February 6th, will include a presentation session to inform members about Equine Canada’s strategy for a national equine identification and traceability system.
 
CFIA Announces New Food Safety Regulations for Horses

February 1, 2010—Equine Canada would like to inform all industry stakeholders that the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has announced the implementation of new a Meat Hygiene Directive concerning all equines (domestic and imported) intended for slaughter at federally-inspected meat processing plants. As of July 31st, slaughter facilities will be allowed to process only those equines with complete health records dating back six months. The maintenance of health records must begin by February 1st, for equines that are intended to be sent to (or sold for) processing on or after July 31st of this year.
 
Canadian Diane Creech Earns Spot at Exquis World Dressage Masters in Florida

January 29, 2010 — Diane Creech of Caistor Centre, ON, and Devon L (De Niro x Wolkenstein II), Douglas Leatherdale’s 10-year-old Hanoverian gelding, will represent Canada at the $145,000 Exquis World Dressage Masters, scheduled for February 4–6, 2010 at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center, in Wellington, FL, USA.
